I began my career in the translation business over 20 years ago and soon decided to move to France, where I still live today. About me
My love for languages and culture was kindled from an early age, the ever-evolving nature of languages suits me perfectly. Continuing professional development is essential for any entrepreneur, and I ensure I stay informed and up-to-date on my languages, technological advancements, and areas of specialization.
As a member of two professional translator’s associations, the SFT (French National Translator’s Association) in France and the SFÖ-SAT (Swedish Association of Professional Translators and Authorized Interpreters) in Sweden, I adhere to their codes of ethics. This means respecting my clients’ integrity and confidentiality, and translating only into my native language.
When I’m not translating, you might find me cycling or bird-watching – ideal activities that help me gain perspective, maintain focus, and occasionally even solve terminology issues before returning to my desk.
I have spent considerable time in the UK and have lived in France for many years. I also visit Sweden annually and regularly converse with native speakers. My connections to different cultures make it easier for me to find the right tone and style, always aiming to enhance my clients’ international business communications.
